Easter Craft
Hello all, and happy Easter!
Sorry for the lack of content, but after having so much work up until the break, and wanting to have Spring Break as a ..... break, I took a month off of my platforms. But, right at the end of Easter, here's an idea for an easter craft.
(Sticky Hands and House Warning!)
A Peeps Diorama! Buckle up with me as you make a beautiful (maybe) diorama you won't want to eat but then will decide you want to eat it 2 days after it solidified. What? Totally never happened to me before. Now, what is a diorama? Well, here's my in-depth explanation:
(I was gonna put it like the google definition but er, I had a change of heart.)
Diorama - A 3D representation of a scene. {So in-depth right!}
So, take your supplies. Mine was
- Peeps [Duh,] of the pink bunny and yellow chick varieties (2 yellow one pink)
- One Rice Krispies bar of the Rice Krispies Variety
- 1 Pack of Fruit Leather that looks better than Fruit-Roll-Ups, but you still kinda want those more
So, I decided to use Sushi as my completely original not stolen from the internet idea! Now you see what those supplies were for, Rice Krispies as..... Rice, Peeps as...... Strange Fish, and Fruit Leather as Nori or Seaweed.
I'm not gonna say it was easy to assemble the Peep Sushi - Cuz it wasn't. But I stood determined (ok, sat determined,) and I took the Fruit Leather. It was in two swirls and managed to only use one pack (of two.) I ended up running out of some leather, but I made one sashimi. But anyway, I took a bit of leather I cut up, shoved a chunk of Rice Krispies I grabbed onto the leather evenly. Then, I took a peep, shoved, it in the middle, used some more Krispies to seal the sushi, then continued. Here's the result!!!
It turned out real cute! It is adorable, I can actually eat it, and may or may not have already finished it by April 6th, and it may or may not have been good. But another high it had was that it only had like 26-28 grams of sugar, so I could eat the whole thing!
Thanks if you made this with me, and if you didn't, this was fun and genuinely made me really happy to make, so thanks Grandma for the idea!
XOXOXO
- Elisa
