Part 3, the pelt-skirt: Sewing my LOK season 2 outfit plan
First off, I just want to say that this is simply an IDEA for a Halloween costume. This is not defiantly going to happen, I repeat, just an IDEA! So I thought yeah, this will take real effort. HMMM... great. So here are the materials I´m gonna use.
- This is the fur I used for the hoodie as well. Just gonna not add the cost because I put $7 as the cost including the fur for the skirt. This is for the bottom of the pelt. https://www.etsy.com/listing/809051063/decorative-white-faux-raccon-fur-ribbon?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=white+faux+fur+trim&ref=sr_gallery-1-7&organic_search_click=1
- This is the elastic for the pants as well. This is for the pelt to tie it together. $9 but already am buying it for the other main thing to make, the hoodie. https://www.amazon.com/White-Knit-Elastic-Spool-0-75/dp/B086SY54KM/ref=zg_bs_262692011_15?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=P7Z2DWM9GBCZNY93EBBN
- This is the felt that is supposed to act as what I assume is leather. About $8 so not too expensive and lots of fabric. https://www.joann.com/craft-felt-fabric-72-solids/prd10007.html
Into this part of the post. My plan. So first, I´m gonna take a big piece of brown felt and cut it into a semi-circle with a piece of felt that is shaped like half of a lemon on the bottom. I will duplicate this piece of fabric, and along the waistline, line it with elastic, and sew the other piece of fabric over it. Then, I will sew fur trim along the border beside the top. And that's it for the pelt. It was pretty simple to plan compared to other things like the hoodie because you don't have to do much.
