Part 1, The Hoodie: Sewing my LOK Season 2 Outfit Plan
First off, I just want to say that this is simply an IDEA for a Halloween costume. This is not defiantly going to happen, I repeat, just an IDEA! So I thought yeah, this will take real effort. HMMM... great. So here's the materials I´m gonna use.
- 3 yards blue fabric - $4.40 from Walmart. It is a very good deal. Used for the hoodie. https://www.walmart.com/ip/SHASON-TEXTILE-3-Yards-cut-CRAFT-PROJECTS-QUILTING-POLY-COTTON-FABRIC-INK-Available-In-Multiple-Colors/54806177?selected=true
- Fake faux fur trim, cheap for 2 yards, maybe. Used on the hoodie. $7? https://www.etsy.com/listing/809051063/decorative-white-faux-raccon-fur-ribbon?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=white+faux+fur+trim&ref=sr_gallery-1-7&organic_search_click=1
- Piece of cardboard cut in a circle, covered in paper and painted. Supposed to be the medallion
So, into the hard part. Making the sweatshirt. So, I will take a shirt and outline it on the fabric leaving a half-inch for in case something not to plan happens. I will replicate this for another side. Then I´ll use the remaining fabric to make sleeves, then I will sew them to the short sleeves. I will cover the stitches with a layer of fur, then by the elbows a similar line of fur. At the end, I will finish with a bit of fur. This will finish the sweater except for the bottom part. I will cut a triangular piece of fabric and attach it to the bottom to make a pointy bottom. Then I will use fabric I have to make a ribbon piece to put above the bottom border. Then, I´ll start the medallion thingee. Look I think you know what I mean. So basically, I will use a cup to trace a circle in a piece of cardboard and do the same in a piece of paper. Then I will paint the paper, and be done with the hoodie. Sounds simple enough. Then we realize we just did the easiest part and groan. Ughhhhh. Time to write another 2 paragraphs. The pants are next, then the pelt-skirt. And after that the hair accessories, and armbands. Now realizing, I probably should have put the medallion there too Ohh well, Idk. See you tomorrow for the pants.
